Meet Julie

Journey to Acupuncture and Holistic Healing

After graduating from Holy Cross College in 1999 and working several years in commercial real estate. Julie decided to make a leap into the world of holistic health and wellness.

She furthered her studies and professional development at the New Mexico Academy of Health Arts and at the Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here, she earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and opened a unique healing practice offering a range of modalities – acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage and yoga.

For over a decade, Julie’s depth of knowledge and skill have guided many people back to health, balance and wellness.

Journey to A.R.T.®

In 2010, Julie and her husband, Chael, moved back to Massachusetts to start a family. When her daughter, Mairead, had several severe food reactions and was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts, the only option for her daughter was simple but stressful - avoid nuts and carry an epipen at all times in case of accidental exposure. Like many families in this situation, it seemed that this was the only path forward.

Then, on one serendipitous summer afternoon, one of Julie’s acupuncture patients mentioned that her granddaughter was undergoing a therapy that was completely resolving her food allergies. It was called A.R.T., Allergy Release Technique®.

After more research and inquiry, Mairead went through the A.R.T.® process and now lives and eats all foods freely. A.R.T.® changed her life in a profound way.

During Mairead’s course of treatment, Amy Thieringer, founder of A.R.T.®, held her first formal training. Julie felt called to apply for the training and was thrilled when she was accepted. To be able to help others resolve their food allergies and live freely is a true honor.
